dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractBu makalede 1970 ile 2000 yılları arasında hukuk eğitimi ve mesleğinde kadınların uğradığı ayrımcılıklar siyasal atmosfer ile incelenmektedir. 2000 yılında ilk kadın adalet müfettişi olarak atanan Nazmiye Kılıç ile gerçekleştirilen sözlü tarih çalışması çizgisinde ilerleyen bu makalede, 1970-2000 yılları arasında hukuk alanındaki kadınların eğitim ve meslek hayatlarına dönemin siyasi iktidarının etkisi, okurken ve mesleklerini icra ederken karşılaştıkları zorluklar Nazmiye Kılıç’ın röportajında aktardıkları ile değerlendirilerek ele alınmıştır.
dc.description.abstractIn this article, the discrimination women went through in the education and branches of law between the years 1970 and 2000 is written. This article follows the interview with the first woman justice inspector Nazmiye Kılıç who had been assigned to the job in 2000. In this article, the struggles that women who work in judiciary branches had endured in their education and work life between the years of 1970 and 2000 is analyzed by comparing with Nazmiye Kılıç’s experiences.
