dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | en_US |

dc.description.abstract | Afyonkarahisar ili, Osmanlı kültüründe ve mutfağında oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Uzun yıllardır çeşitli kültürlere ve lezzetlere ev sahipliği yapmış bir şehir durumundadır. Aşçı Bacaksız ise, 1860 yılına kadar uzanan bir geçmişe sahip olmakla beraber günümüzde kimliğini koruyabilen sayılı restoranlardan biridir. Değişmeyen menüsü ve gelenekleriyle nam salmış bu lokanta, diğer yerlerden farklı olarak kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılan bir aile bağını, maneviyatı ve sevgiyi simgeliyor. Döneminin ve günümüzün önemli restoranları arasında yer alan Aşçı Bacaksız, Osmanlı dönemlerinden günümüze gelmiş bir hikayeyi ve izleri barındırıyor. Birçok gezginin uğrak noktası olması sebebiyle, lokantanın popülerliği beşinci kuşağında dahi korunuyor. | |
dc.description.abstract | Afyonkarahisar has a very important place in Ottoman culture and cuisine. It is a city that has hosted various cultures and gastronomic delicacies for many years. Aşçı Bacaksız, on the other hand, has a history dating back to 1860 and is one of the few restaurants that has preserved this history. This restaurant, which is famous for its unchanging menu and tradition, represents the family bond and love unlike other places. Aşçı Bacaksız, one of the most important restaurants of its period and today, still bears traces of the Ottoman Empire. As it is frequented by many travelers, the popularity of the restaurant has been preserved even today. | |
