Türkiye'de teknolojinin gelişimi: Vestel'in katkıları

Bu projenin amacı Vestel şirketini ve şirketin önemini, kendi içinde, ulusal boyutta ve uluslararası boyutta incelemek; Türkiye’nin teknolojik gelişimine ve sanayileşmesine olan katkılarını araştırmaktır. Projede ilk başta 1970’lerdeki ekonominin durumu ve o dönemlerin ekonomik darboğazına yer verilmiştir. Ardından, Türkiye’nin sanayileşme süreci ve dışa açılma politikaları açıklanmıştır. Bunların ardından, TüİK verileriyle Türkiye’de teknolojinin rolü anlatılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise Vestel’in kuruluşu ve Zorlu Holding bünyesine girişi olmak üzere, şirket tarihi iki farklı dönem olarak incelenmiştir. Son bölümde ise Vestel City, Vestel’in Türkiye’deki yerini gösteren veriler, Vestel’in ürünleri ve Zorlu Holding’in sosyal ve kültürel aktiviteleri anlatılmıştır. Projede toplanan bilgiler sonucunda, Vestel’in Türkiye için önemli katma değerler yarattığı ve Türk ekonomisi ve teknolojisi için önemli bir konumda olduğu kanısına varılmıştır.

This project aims to study Vestel and its importance by analyzing its company structure and its position in national and international areas. Also, this project studies Vestel’s contribitions in tehnological development and industrialization process in Turkey. In this project, we start by explaining the economic situation and problems of Turkey during 1970’s and continue by explaining the industrialazation process of Turkey and its efforts to become a more open economy. Then we show importance of technology in Turkey by using data from TURKSTAT. In second part of this project, we explain history of Vestel by diving it into two periods: The Establishment of Vestel and it’s sale to Zorlu Holding. In last part, detailed explanations on Vestel City, datas which show Vestel’s role in Turkey, Vestel’s products and Zorlu Holding’s social and cultural activities are provided. In light of collected information, we argue that Vestel provides improtant value added assets for Turkey and has made significant contiribitons for Turkish Economy and technology.
