Düzce Adıge kültür derneği

Abstract

Çerkeslerin önemli bir bölümü 19. yüzyılda Rusların baskısı sebebiyle Kafkasya’yı terk etmek zorunda kalmıştır. Bu sebeple Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’na göç eden Çerkesler, iskan politikaları çerçevesinde içinde Düzce’nin de bulunduğu çeşitli bölgelere yerleştirilmiştir. Bu makalede, Düzce Adıge Kültür Derneği’nin kuruluş süreci, yürüttüğü ve yürütmekte olduğu sosyal ve kültürel etkinlikler ele alınmaktadır. Yaptığı faaliyetlerle Adıge toplumunun dayanışmasını arttırmayı amaçlayan dernek, kültürün ve dilin gelecek nesillere aktarılması için de aktif rol üstlenmektedir. Ayrıca derneğin Adıge Cumhuriyeti ile olan yakın ilişkisi diaspora ile anavatan bağın canlılığını göstermektedir A significant number of Circassians were forced to leave the Caucasus in the 19th century due to pressure from the Russians. Consequently, those who migrated to the Ottoman Empire were settled in various regions, including Düzce, under settlement policies. This article examines the founding process of the Düzce Adyghea Culture Association, as well as the social and cultural activities it has undertaken and continues to carry out. By organizing these activities, the association aims to strengthen the solidarity of the Adıge community and plays an active role in transmitting culture and language to future generations. Additionally, its close relationship with the Adygea Republic demonstrates the ongoing vitality of the bond between the diaspora and their homeland
