| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

| dc.description.abstract | Türkiye'de yapılan ilk meyve şarabı olan vişne şarabını üretmesi nedeniyle önemli bir noktadadır. Küp şarapçılık 1968de ilk şaraplarını satışa sunmuş, 1959dan sonra Türkiye'de uygulanan alkollü içecek politikalarından etkilenmiştir. Şarabın üretildiği yer olan Bekilli ilçesi zengin bir tarihe ve şarapçılık açısından büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Öyle ki bu şarapçılık geleneği, bölgeyi kültürel ve turistik açıdan zenginleştirmiştir. Şapkacı Hasan Altıntaş ve ailesi şarapçılık sektörüne adım atarak, bu uğraşı profesyonel bir hale getirmiş ve başarıya ulaşmışlardır. Ulaştıkları bu başarıyı anlamak açısından, kat ettikleri yolları öğrenmek büyük önem taşımaktadır. Aldığı ödüller ise başarılarının kanıtı niteliğindedir. Küp Şarapçılık günümüzde de varlığını sürdürerek, şarap üretimine ve satışına devam etmektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Located in the Bekilli district of Denizli, Küp Şarapçılık holds significance for producing its first fruit wine, cherry wine. Having introduced its first wines for sale in 1968, Küp Şarapçılık was influenced by the alcoholic beverage policies implemented in Turkey after 1959. The Bekilli district, where the wine is produced, boasts a rich history and holds great importance in winemaking. The winemaking tradition in this region has enriched it culturally and tourism-wise. Hasan Altıntaş and his family ventured into the winemaking industry, turning their passion into a profession and achieving success. Understanding the paths they have taken is crucial to comprehend their attained success. The awards they have received serve as proof of their accomplishments. Küp Şarapçılık continues to thrive, persisting in wine production and sales to this day. | |
