Makalenin ana konusu Kadınca dergisidir ve bu bağlamda 3 ana başlık altında incelenmiştir. Bunlar; Kadınca'dan önce, dergi süreci ve Kadınca'dan sonradır. Kadınca'dan önce başlığı altında geleneksel ve modern çatışmasında kadının yerini ve yıllara göre kadın dergiciliği üzerinde durulmuştur. Dergi sürecinde derginin kuruluş sürecinde yazar kadrosu, Kadınca'nın yükselişi ve süreçteki siyasi gelişmeler, Kadınca'nın feminizme yaklaşımı ve Duygu Asena'dan bahsedilmiştir.
