Öncü ve duayen bir radyolog: Tuğrul Pırnar

Abstract

Tuğrul Pırnar öncü ve duayen bir Türk radyoloğudur. Hacettepe Üniversitesi ve Bilkent Üniversitesi’nde rektörlük yapan Pırnar, Türkiye’de hem eğitim de hem de Tıp alanında büyük başarılara imza attı. Yurtdışında aldığı radyoloji eğitimlerinden sonra Pırnar, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi’nin bünyesinde Türkiye’ye ilk tomografi ve manyetik rezonansı getirdi. Tuğrul Pırnar, kendini gelişime adayan ve eğitime önem veren biriydi. Emeklilik hayatında ailesi ile birlikte zaman geçirdi. Tuğrul Pırnar, aynı ismi taşıyan grup arkadaşımız Tuğrul Pırnar’ın dedesiydi. Tuğrul Pırnar was a doyen radiologist and a pioneer within the lane of radiology. He served as an active rector within both Bilkent University and Hacettepe University. He has sustained certain achievements both within the lane of academia and medicine. With the Radiology education that he got overseas, he brought the first Magnetic Resonance and tomography machines to Turkey, he was able to bring them through Dokuz Eylul University. He had dedicated himself to self-improvement and education. He was also the grandfather of our beloved teammate that shares the same name with him - Tuğrul Pırnar.
