Gizemli yeraltı dünyası: Derinkuyu Yeraltı Şehri’nin önemi ve gördüğü değer

Bu makalede, Kapadokya bölgesinde bulunan ve tarihi milattan önceye uzanan Derinkuyu Yeraltı Şehri ele alınmıştır. Yapının, tarih boyunca birçok medeniyet tarafından kullanılışı ve dikkat çeken mimarisinin anlatılması üzerinden tarihsel ve kültürel değeri vurgulanmıştır. Yeraltı Şehri’nin bu değeri göz önünde bulundurulduğunda 1965’teki müzeleştirilmesinden beri bu yapıya halk, araştırmacılar ve devlet tarafından verilen önem değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular ışığında, bu tarihî mirasın araştırmacıların ve medyanın gözündeki değeri yüksekken yerel halkın ve devletin yapıya gösterdiği ilgi kısmen yetersiz bulunmuştur.

In this paper, Derinkuyu Underground City which is located in the Cappadocia region whose history heads back to before the common era is examined. Through accounting structure’s use in history by many civilizations and its striking architecture, its historical and cultural value is emphasized. Acknowledging this value that the Underground City holds, the worth attributed by the people, researchers, and government, since the structure became a museum in 1965, is evaluated. In light of the findings, it is concluded that this historical heritage receives a high value by the researchers and the media; however, the value received by the local people and the government is partially inadequate.
