Türk Hava Yolları’nın 1973 yılında Hollanda asıllı bir uçak firması olan Fokker’den ithal ettiği 5 adet F-28 kodlu yolcu uçağının 5’i de 1974 yılından itibaren peş peşe düşmüştür.
Five of the five F-28 coded passenger aircraft which are imported by Fokker in 1973, fell consecutively in the time interval of 1974 to 1994. Three of the domestic accidents occurred in 1974 in Izmir, in 1975 in Istanbul, in 1979 in Ankara. The other accidents occurred in 1989 in Canada and in 1994 in Iran. The research has been carried on with respect to these five Fokker F-28 aircraft accidents. In this context, Fokker F-28 aircraft and Turkish Airlines relation were examined, and each of the accident separately observed. Based on this study, reasons of the accidents were investigated in detail.
