dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractBu makalede, Kâmil Kırıkoğlu üzerinden Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi(CHP)'nin 1950'lerden itibaren geçirdiği tarihsel süreç, İsmet İnönü ve Bülent Ecevit başta olmak üzere CHP siyasetinde yer alan çeşitli başroller ile Kâmil Kırıkoğlu'nun iletişimi temel alınmıştır. Makalede yer alan ana başlıklar, Kâmil Kırıkoğlu'nun kişisel yaşamı, fikirsel dünyası, siyasi yaşamı ve hayatının CHP sonrasındaki dönemidir. Bu araştırmasının yapılmasının amacı, CHP siyaset tarihinde gizli kalmış ikinci adam olan Kâmil Kırıkoğlu'nun politikadaki yerinin aydınlatılması ve öneminin vurgulanmasıdır. Makalede konunun birinci kaynaklardan ele alınması amacıyla Kâmil Kırıkoğlu'nun kızı ile yapılmış bir röportaj da yer almaktadır.
dc.description.abstractIn this article, the historical process of the Republican People's Party (CHP) since the 1950s over Kâmil Kırıkoğlu, the communication of Kâmil Kırıkoğlu with the politicians in various leading roles in CHP politics who are especially İsmet İnönü and Bülent Ecevit, are the topics mainly covered. The main titles in the article, Kâmil Kırıkoğlu's personal life, his intellectual world, his political life and his life after the CHP. The purpose of this research is to enlighten the place and to emphasize the significance of Kâmil Kırıkoğlu, the second man hidden in the history of CHP politics. The article also includes an interview with Kâmil Kırıkoğlu's daughter to address the same issue from the first sources.
