dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractçocuk Saati 1941 yılında Ankara Radyosu’nda kurulan daha sonra 1952’de İzmir Radyosu’nda, 1960’da ise İstanbul Radyosu’nda da açılan ve günümüze kadar varlığını sürdürmüş bir radyo kuruluşudur. Türkiye'deki radyoculuğun ilerlemesi ve çocuk gelişimine olan pozitif etkileriyle çocuk Saati’nin Türkiye radyoculuğunda önemli bir yeri vardır. çocuk Saati üyeleri, yetenekli çocukları seçmek adına düzenlenen sınavlardan geçtikten sonra seslendirme, tiyatro ve teknik konularda çeşitli eğitimler alırlardı. çocuk Saati’nde, seslendirme yapan çocukların disiplinli, sorumluluklarının bilincinde, yaratıcı, çalışkan, ülkesini seven ve kolektif çalışabilen bireyler olmaları hedeflenmiştir. çocuk Saati, sadece üyelerinin gelişimine önem vermekle kalmayıp dinleyici çocukların hayal güçlerinin gelişmesine ve Türkçenin düzgün kullanılmasına da değer vermiştir. çocuk Saati’nde verilen eğitim ve disiplinli çalışma ortamı sayesinde, burada yetişmiş olan çocukların büyüdüklerinde tiyatro, seslendirme ve daha farklı çalışma alanlarında çok başarılı oldukları gözlemlenmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractçocuk Saati is a radio organization which was established in 1941 at Ankara Radio, then at İzmir Radio in 1952 and at Istanbul Radio in 1960. çocuk Saati is notably important due to its positive effects to the development of children and the improvement of Turkish Radio before millennium. After a highly selective and competitive elimination process, children who are selected for çocuk Saati study acting, dubbing and take technical training on how to do radio broadcasting. The aim of çocuk Saati is to teach children discipline, responsibility, creativity and teamwork. Not just the members of the çocuk Saati but also its audience gain a lot from the radio shows since these shows are aimed to improve children’s imagination and Turkish speaking skills. It is observed that children who have attended çocuk Saati have become very successful in their areas of study because of the discipline and education that they have received.en_US
