| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

| dc.description.abstract | 1946 yılında doğmuş olan Tunçalp Özgen, Türkiye tıbbının gelişmesinde önemli rol oynayan profesörlerden biridir. 1969 yılında Ankara Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'ni bitirmiş, uzmanlığını ise beyin cerrahisi dalında tamamlamıştır. Nöroşirürji dalında sayısız yeniliğe öncülük etmiş olan Özgen, 1999-2009 yılları arasında Hacettepe Üniversitesi'nde rektörlük görevi yapmıştır. | dc.description.abstract | Tunçalp Özgen who was born in 1946 is one of the professors who played an important role in the development of Turkish medicine. He graduated from Ankara Hacettepe University in 1969 and did his expertise in neurological sciences. Özgen proceeded many innovations in neurological sciences and he worked as a rector in Hacettepe University from 1999 to 2009. He passed away on March 9, 2019. | |
