dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractSanayileşme süreciyle birlikte Türkiye Cumhuriyeti içerisinde çeşitli iş alanlarında dış ticarete yoğun bir yönelme olmuş ve bunun sonucunda ortaya çıkan ihtiyaçlara cevap vermek ve olası problemlere çözüm üretmek için Türk iş insanları farklı çözüm yollarına gitmiştir. Dış ticaret konusunda her türlü bilgi ve tecrübeyi bir arada toplamak ve bu sayede Türk iş insanlarının çalışma alanlarını arttırmak amacıyla Türk Dışticaret Vakfı (TDV) kurulmuştur. Bu ödev kapsamında TDV’nin kuruluş öyküsü, vakfın kurulma amacı ve faaliyetleri incelenecektir. Vakfın kuruluş öyküsü incelenirken kurucu profili ve vakfın ortaya çıkış nedenleri ele alınacaktır. Vakfın faaliyetleri incelenirken ise vakfın eğitim programı, yayınları, kütüphanesi ve düzenlediği kurultaylar değerlendirilecektir.
dc.description.abstractIn several business areas in the Republic of Turkey with the industrialization process was an intensive orientation to foreign trade and to respond to needs arising as a result of this and to find solutions to possible problems of Turkish business people have gone to different solutions. TDV (Turkish Foreign Trade Foundation) was established in order to gather all kinds of information and experience in foreign trade and to increase the working areas of Turkish business people. Within the scope of this assignment, the establishment history of TDV, the purpose of foundation and activities of the foundation will be examined. The foundation history of Turkish Foreign Trade Foundation will be examined and the profile of the founders as well as the reasons for the foundation will be discussed. In examining the activities of the foundation, the educational program, publications, library and the congresses organized by the foundation will be evaluated.
