| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Bu makale, Nabi Avcı'nın Milli Eğitim Bakanı danışmanı olarak çalıştığı dönemde (1988-1992) Türkiye'deki eğitim sisteminin evrimini inceler ve Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın önemine vurgu yapar. İlk bölüm, 80'li yıllarda eğitimdeki değişimlere ve fırsat eşitsizliklerine odaklanırken, ikinci bölüm Nabi Avcı'nın danışman olarak çalıştığı dönemdeki yeniliklere ve etkilere ayrılmıştır. Üçüncü bölüm, eğitim ve Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nı, teknolojik gelişmelerin eğitime etkilerini ve XII. Millî Eğitim Şûrası'nı ele alır. Dördüncü bölüm ise Nabi Avcı'nın eğitime katkılarına, eğitim politikalarındaki inovasyon ve değişime, yeni teknolojilerin eğitimde kullanımına ve uluslararası düzeydeki eğitim konferanslarına odaklanır. Bu makale, Türkiye'nin eğitim geçmişi ve değişimi hakkında geniş bir perspektif sunar. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This article examines the evolution of the education system in Turkey during Nabi Avcı's tenure as the advisor to the Minister of National Education (1988-1992), emphasizing the importance of the Ministry of National Education. The first section focuses on the changes and inequalities in education in the 1980s, while the second section is dedicated to the innovations and impact during Nabi Avcı's time as an advisor. The third section discusses education, the Ministry of National Education, the impact of technological developments on education, and the 12th National Education Council. The fourth section focuses on Nabi Avcı's contributions to education, innovation and change in education policies, the use of new technologies in education, and international education conferences. This article provides a broad perspective on Turkey's education history and transformation. | |
