dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

Bu çalışmalar arasında başlıca, Seleukeia, Samsat, Değirmentepe, Dara Antik Kenti, Hasankeyf, Perge, Binbirkilise ve Ayatekla, Zeyrek Camii, Tarsus, Ayasofya çalışmaları üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu makalede Metin Ahunbay’ın hayatı boyunca yaptığı çalışmaların yanında bu çalışmaların sürdürebilirliğini korumak için verdiği hukuki mücadeleler de yer almaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis article examines Metin Ahunbay's family life, education life, academic career, and excavations that he worked on, among these studies, mainly Seleukeia, Samsat, Değirmentepe, Dara Ancient City, Hasankeyf, Perge, Binbirkilise and Ayatekla, Zeyrek Mosque, Tarsus, Hagia Sophia studies were emphasized. In this article, besides the works of Metin Ahunbay, throughout his life, his legal struggles to protect the sustainability of these works are also included.en_US
