dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractBağlar Gazozu, 1936 yılında Safranbolu’da kurulmuş yerel bir meşrubat markasıdır. Sadece bir içecek markası olmakla kalmamış zaman içerisinde Safranbolu’nun kültürünü yansıtan bir sembolü haline gelmiştir. Yazıda Bağlar Gazozu kim tarafından ve ne zaman kurulduğu, kurulurken hangi şartlar altında kurulduğu ve marka kurulduktan sonra ne gibi zorluklarla karşılaştıklarına değinilmektedir. Bu makale sadece Bağlar Gazozu’nu değil, aynı zamanda Türkiye’deki gazoz kültürünü ve yerel üreticileri anlamak için önemlidir. Bu kadar köklü bir içecek markası hakkında literatürde toplu bir bilgi bulunmamaktadır ve bu yazı o açığı kapatacak niteliktedir.
dc.description.abstractBağlar Gazozu is a local soft drink brand founded in Safranbolu in 1936. It has not only become a beverage brand but has also become a symbol reflecting the culture of Safranbolu over time. The article discusses who founded Bağlar Gazozu and when, the conditions under which it was founded, and the difficulties they faced after the brand was founded. This article is important not only for understanding Bağlar Gazozu, but also for understanding the soda culture and local producers in Turkey. There is no collective information in the literature about such a deep-rooted beverage brand, and this article is of a nature to fill that gap.
