Abstract

Adile Ayda, 22 Şubat 1912 tarihinde Rusya’da doğdu. İlköğrenimini Paris ve Berlin’de, orta öğrenimini İstanbul’da Dame de Sion Lisesi’nde tamamladı. Ankara Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesinden ve Fransız Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümünden mezun oldu. Üniversitede Fransız Dili ve Edebiyatı alanında akademik çalışmalar yaptı. 1958’de Cumhuriyet tarihinin ilk kadın diplomatı oldu. 1976’da kontenjan senatörlüğüne seçildi. Türkiye Kadın Konseyi’ni kurdu ve fahri başkanlığı görevini üstlendi. Adile Ayda yaşamı boyunca diplomaside, akademide ve politikada önemli görevler üstlenmiş, milliyetçi akımın bir temsilcisi olmuştur. 5 Kasım 1992 tarihinde Ankara'da vefat etti.


Adile Ayda was born on February 22, 1912. She completed his primary education in Paris and Berlin, and his secondary education at Dame de Sion High School in Istanbul. She graduated from Ankara University Law and French Language and Literature Departments. She gave academic service in the field of French Language and Literature at the university. In 1958, she became the first female diplomat in the history of the Republic. She was elected quota senator in 1976. She founded the Women's Council of Turkey and assumed the honorary presidency. Adile Ayda assumed important roles in diplomacy, academy and politics throughout her life and became a leader of the nationalist movement. She died on November 5, 1992 in Ankara.
