TAI’nin 1984 yılında Türk ve Amerikan ortaklar tarafından kuruluşu ve tarihi

Savunma sanayiinin öneminin anlaşılmasının ardından atılan adımlardan biri olan yarı Amerikan şirket TAI’nin kuruluşu, kuruluştan günümüze uzanan dönemde oldukça büyük etkilere sahiptir. Bu makalede, Amerikan ortaklar ve Türk Uçak Sanayi A.Ş. (TUSAŞ) tarafından kurulan şirketin kuruluş aşamaları ve geçmişi incelenmiş olup 2000’li yıllarda şirketin tamamen yerlileştirilmesi ve TUSAŞ çatısı altında birleştirilmesi üzerinde durulmuştur. Şirketin modern dönemi olarak tanımlanabilecek bu süreçte yaşanan gelişmelerden günümüz şirket yapısına ve projelerinden bahsedilerek şirketin tarihi hakkında detaylı bir çalışma yapılmıştır.

The establishment of the semi-American company TAI, which was one of the steps taken following the recognition of the importance of the defense industry, has had significant impacts from its inception to the present day. This article examines the establishment stages and history of the company, founded by American partners and Turkish Plane Industries Inc. (TUSAS), with a focus on the complete localization of the company and its consolidation under the umbrella of TUSAS in the 2000s. In this process, which can be defined as the modern era of the company, the developments that have taken place have been thoroughly analyzed, shedding light on the current structure and projects of the company while providing a detailed study on its history.
