dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractBu makale, kürek sporunun ne anlama geldiğini, kurallarını ve nasıl oynandığını açıklamanın yanı sıra, Türkiye'deki tarihini detaylı bir şekilde ele alacaktır. Galatasaray ve ODTÜ gibi önemli üniversite kulüplerinin başarıları, Türk kürekçilerin ulusal ve uluslararası alanda kendilerini tanıtmaları, Türkiye Kürek Federasyonunun yarışma talimatları, sporun Türkiye’deki standartları makalenin konusudur. Ayrıca röportajlar ve belgeseller aracılığıyla, Galatasaray Kürek Takımının eski sporcusu Kemal Onar ve ODTÜ Kürek Takımının kaptanı Ece Bahar Osmanoğlu ile yapılan görüşmeler bu makaleye katılmıştır ve Türkiye'deki kürek sporunun derinden incelenmesine olanak sağlayacaktır.
dc.description.abstractThis article will explore the meaning of rowing, its rules, and how it is played, while delving into its history in Turkey in detail. The focus of the article includes the achievements of prominent university clubs such as Galatasaray and ODTÜ, the recognition of Turkish rowers on national and international levels, and the competition regulations set by the Turkish Rowing Federation, along with the sport's standards in Turkey. Additionally, interviews with former Galatasaray rower Kemal Onar and ODTÜ Rowing Team captain Ece Bahar Osmanoğlu, conducted through discussions and documentaries, have been incorporated into this article, providing an in-depth examination of rowing in Turkey.
