| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

| dc.description.abstract | Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu 1954’te kurduğu demir atölyesi ile Çuhadaroğlu Holding’in temellerini atmıştır. Ardından çelik yapı üretimi, yapı kimyasalları ve alüminyum doğrama sektörlerinde yer alan Çuhadaroğlu Holding günümüzde alüminyum ekstrüzyon alanında çalışmaktadır. Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu’ndan sonra yönetim ikinci nesile, Nejat ve Murat Çuhadaroğlu’na geçti. Babalarının izinden giden yeni yöneticiler de sosyal ve kültürel alanda birçok faaliyet gerçekleştirdi. Bu makalede Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu ve Çuhadaroğlu Holding’in tarihçesi anlatıldıktan sonra holdingin Türkiye’de ve dünyadaki konumu incelenecektir. Bunun yanı sıra, Çuhadaroğlu Holding'in sosyal ve kültürel projeleri de ele alınacaktır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu laid the foundations of Çuhadaroğlu Holding with the iron workshop he established in 1954. Çuhadaroğlu Holding, which later took part in steel structure production, construction chemicals and aluminum joinery sectors, is currently working in the field of aluminum extrusion. After Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu, the management passed to the second generation, Nejat and Murat Çuhadaroğlu. Following the footsteps of their father, the new managers also carried out many activities in social and cultural fields. In this article, the history of Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu and Çuhadaroğlu Holding will be explained and the holding's position in Turkey and the world will be examined. In addition, the holding's social and cultural projects will also be discussed. | |
