Duayen fotoğrafçı ve karikatürist Ahmet Esmer

Ahmet Esmer fotoğrafçılık dünyasında kendine yer edinmiş Balıkesirli bir fotoğrafçıdır. Fotoğrafçılığın yanı sıra aynı zamanda karikatür ile de ilgilenen Ahmet Esmer iki sanatı birleştirerek kendine özgü fotoğraflar yaratmıştır. 1950’li yıllardan beri fotoğrafçılık kariyerini sürdüren Ahmet Esmer şu an halen aktif fotoğrafçılık yapmakta, aynı zamanda birçok sergi ve söyleşiye katılmaktadır. Bu araştırmada Ahmet Esmer’le yapılan röportajdan, çektiği fotoğraflardan ve dokümanlardan yararlanılarak Ahmet Esmer’in fotoğrafçılık ve karikatüristlik hayatı anlatılmıştır. Ahmet Esmer’le yapılan röportaj ve çektiği fotoğraflar, fotoğrafçılık kariyerini incelemek adına birincil kaynak niteliği taşıdığından önem arz etmiştir. Makalede Esmer’in fotoğrafçılığa girişi, kariyeri ve eserleri incelenerek sanata bakış açısı anlatılmıştır. Sanatçıların topluma kazandırdıkları ve gelecek nesillere aktardıklarını kavrayabilmek açısından onların sanatçı kimliklerinin ve kariyerlerinin incelenmesi önem arz etmektedir. Bu bağlamda Ahmet Esmer’in sanatçılık hayatının anlatılması bizlere ışık tutacaktır.

Ahmet Esmer is a photographer from Balıkesir who gained a place in the photography world. Ahmet Esmer, who is also interested in caricature as well as photography, has created unique photographs by combining the two arts. Ahmet Esmer, who has been continuing his photography career since the 1950s, is still active in photography and participates in many exhibitions and talks. In this research article, Ahmet Esmer's photographer and caricaturist career is explained by making use of the interview made with Ahmet Esmer, photographs he took, and other documents. The interview with Ahmet Esmer and the photographs he took are significant for the research as they are the primary sources for examining his photography career. Esmer's introduction to photography, his career, and his works are examined, and his perspective on art is explained in the research article. It is crucial to examine the artistic identities and careers of artists in order to understand what they bring to society and transfer to future generations. In this context, describing Ahmet Esmer's life as a photography artist will shed light on us.
