Türkiye’nin 1970’lerden itibaren geçirdiği sosyokültürel evrime tanıklık eden dergi: Vizon

Abstract

Vizon, 80’li yıllar öncesinde içine kapanık bir ülke olan Türkiye’nin özellikle sosyal anlamdaki değişimine eşlik eden bir dergidir. Dergi yayımlanmaya başladığı dönemde halkın modaya ilgisi oldukça kısıtlı olmasına rağmen geniş bir okuyucu kitlesine hitap edebildi. Yıllar içinde yaşanan değişikliklere paralel olarak kendini yenileyen Vizon’un içeriği, genel olarak moda etrafında şekillense de popüler isimlerle yapılan röportajlar ve yeni ürünlerin tanıtıldığı yazılar gibi yeniliklerle zenginleşti. Vizon çatısı altında başlayan ve yıllar içerisinde dergiden bağımsız olarak şekillenmeye başlayan Vizon Show da Türk moda tarihine en az derginin kendisi kadar katkı sağladı. 2021 sonbaharı itibarıyla yayın hayatına başlamasının üstünden 44 yıl geçen Vizon dergisi Türkiye’nin sosyal değişikliğine ayna tuttu. Vizon magazine accompanied Turkey during its transformation between 1977 and 2003. The magazine was widely acclaimed even though society's interest in fashion was limited when it started publishing. Although Vizon's content generally has shaped around fashion, it succeeded in adapting to new conjuncture by following the trends worldwide and in the country at the same time. These properties of the magazine deepened its content throughout the years and made Vizon an appealing lifestyle/fashion magazine that had readers from every segment of the Turkish community. Moreover, the magazine expanded the number of its readers through events like Vizon Show, which started as a sub-branch of the Vizon. As years passed Vizon Show became a separate factor that shaped the trends and made significant contributions to Turkish fashion history as much as Vizon magazine. It is reasonable to say that the magazine mirrored Turkey during its rapid transformation.
