Maide Çimşit: Hiperbarik tıbbın Türkiye’deki kurucusu

Sualtı hekimliği ve hiperbarik tıp Türkiye’de az bilinen tıp dallarından biridir. Normal tedavi yöntemleriyle zor tedavi edilen birçok hastalığın tedavisinde başarılı bir şekilde kullanılan hiperbarik oksijen ile tedavi yöntemi, Maide Çimşit’in Türkiye’de hiperbarik tıbbı kurması ile Türk hekimleri tarafından tanınmaya başlanmıştır. Başlarda önyargı ile bakılsa da Maide Çimşit ve meslektaşlarının çalışmaları ile doğruluğu kanıtlanmış ve Türkiye’de güvenilir bir bilim dalı haline gelmiştir.

Underwater and hyperbaric medicine is o ne of the l esser-known medicine branches in Turkey. The treatment method with hyperbaric oxygen, which is successfully used in the treatment of many diseases that are difficult to treat with normal treatment methods, has begun to be recognized by Turkish doctors thanks to the introduction of hyperbaric medicine in Turkey by Maide Çimşit. Although it was viewed with prejudice at the beginning, Maide Çimşit and her colleagues have proven its accuracy and became a reliable branch of science inTurkey.
