Abstract

Bu araştırmada, Mısır İskenderiye’den Çeşme’ye göç eden Hacı Memiş Ağa’nın soyundan olup Cumhuriyet Türkiye’sinde önemli yerlere gelmiş üç kişiye yer verilmiştir. Araştırılan ilk fert, Cumhuriyet’in ilk demiryolu çalışanlarından İstiklal Madalyası sahibi Murat Ergun, aynı zamanda Türkiye’nin ilk kişisel gelişim kitabının yazarıdır.

In this research, we investigate three individuals who come from the lineage of Hacı Memiş Ağa, who migrated from Alexandria in Egypt to Çeşme in Turkey. Each of these individuals are noteworthy people in the Republic era of Turkey. This paper starts by examining Murat Ergun who owned a War of Independence Medal and was a government official working for state railways in the Republic era. He wrote two books one of which is considered to be one of the pioneers of the self-improvement books of Turkey. Then it examines Ahmet Özsoy, who was the general manager of OYAK, which was one of the biggest holding companies of the 1970s in Turkey. Lastly this research examines Murat Ergun’s daughter and Ahmet Özsoy’s wife Feyha Özsoy. Of the three person of this research she is the only person who is still alive.
