In this research, we studied calligrapher Fuat Başar, and "calligraphy" as a branch of art, under the influence of Başar's knowledge and experience. Islamic calligraphy has become a part of the values of the Turkish nation over time. Ottoman Empire represents a period in which many famous calligraphers were raised; writing styles were born and developed. Following this, in the republic period, calligraphers were inhibited from teaching and performing the art of Islamic calligraphy. Meanwhile, the calligraphers who were interested in the art of calligraphy handed down this profession to the next generations. Fuat Başar, who took his letter of approval from the famous calligrapher Hamit Aytaç, helped Islamic calligraphy to stay alive.
