dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractİstanbul Caz Festivali, İstanbul Kültür Sanat Vakfı tarafından 1994 yılından beri her yılın temmuz ayında düzenlenen, Türkiye’den ve dünyadan birçok farklı caz sanatçısını dinleyicileriyle buluşturan bir organizasyondur. Yaklaşık 10 günlük bir program içerisinde farklı mekanlarda verdiği konserler ile dinleyicilerin karşısına çıkan İstanbul Caz Festivali, 1994’ten günümüze kadar Türk halkının caz müziği ile tanışmasına katkı sağlamıştır. Aynı zamanda oluşturduğu platform ile Türk caz sanatçılarının uluslararası alanda tanınırlığını da arttırmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIstanbul Jazz Festival is an organization that has been held by the Istanbul Culture and Art Association since 1994. Every year, the festival brings Turkish and global jazz artists with their fans together in July for ten days. The festival also contributed to the Turkish people’s interest in jazz music by performing different concerts in various locations. Additionally, it has increased the recognition of Turkish jazz artists in the international arena with the platform it has created.en_US
