dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractÜniversite radyoları üniversite içerisinde iletişim, eğitim ve eğlence amacıyla kullanıldığı için üniversite öğrencileri, akademisyenleri ve yöneticileri adına büyük önem taşımaktadır. Makalede Ankara bölgesinde yayın yapan bir üniversite radyosu olan Radyo Bilkent araştırılmıştır. Makalenin amacı bir üniversite radyosunun kuruluş sürecini, yapısısal düzenini ve teknolojik ilerlemeler karşısında gerçekleşen değişikleri araştırmaktır. Çalışmada ilk olarak Türkiye’de radyoculuğun gelişiminin kısa bir anlatımı yapılmış, ardından Radyo Bilkent’in kuruluşundan, işleyişinden, yönetiminden, yapısal değişikliklerinden ve teknolojik gelişmeler karşısında yaşadığı değişikliklerden bahsedilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda geçmişten günümüze Radyo Bilkent'in yeniliklere ayak uydurarak devam ettiği ve hala gelişime açık olduğu tespit edilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractBy providing communication, education, and entertainment, university radios take a significant place in students, academics, and executives' lives. Radio Bilkent, a university radio that broadcasts in the Ankara region, has been researched in this article. This article investigates the foundation process, structural arrangement, and the changes with technological advancements. In this article, firstly, a description of the development of radio broadcast in Turkey was given, then the establishment, working, management, structural changes, and technological changes have been mentioned. In conclusion, it is observed that although Radio Bilkent is keeping up with the latest trends in the industry, they still need further improvement.en_US
