Cin Ali vakfının tarihi ve eğitime katkıları

Abstract

Cin Ali, 1944 yılında köy enstitüsünden mezun olup ardından uzun yıllar 1. Sınıf öğretmenliği yapmış Rasim Kaygusuz’un geliştirdiği eğitim metotlarının öğrencilerinin üzerindeki etkisini sağlamlaştırmak ve daha etkili okuma-yazma eğitimi sunmak için 1968 yılında, kendi aile yaşamından da esinlenerek oluşturduğu 10 resimli kitaptan oluşan bir seridir. Bu kitaplar, az heceli kelimelerden ve basit cümlelerden başlayarak sonlara doğru ilerledikçe uzar ve karmaşık hale gelir. Bu seri, hem dönemin öğrencilerinde büyük bir ilgi uyandırması, hem de yaratıldığı yıl olan 1968 yılında değişen müfredata uyumlu olmasının bir araya gelmesiyle dönemin zorlu koşullarında Türkiye’nin dört bir yanına devlet imkanlarıyla birlikte Kaygusuz ailesinin uğraşları sonucu yayılmış, öğrencilerin arasında sağlam bir yer edinmiştir. 2005 müfredat değişikliğiyle geri plana düşmüş gibi olsa da, Nevin Apaydın ve Nesrin Kalaycıoğlu babalarının mirasını korumak için aynı binada 2016’da Cin Ali Vakfı’nı, 2019’da Cin Ali Müzesi’ni kurdu; Günümüzde vakıf ve müzenin yaptığı faaliyetler hala çocuklar, işitme ve görme engelliler tarafından ilgi görmekte olup, Cin Ali’nin etkisini devam ettirmektedir.

Cin Ali is a series of 10 illustrated books that Rasim Kaygusuz, who graduated from the village institute in 1944 and then worked as a first grade teacher for many years, created in 1968, inspired by his own family life, to strengthen the effect of the educational methods he developed on his students and to provide more effective literacy education. These books start with a few-syllable words and simple sentences and become longer and more complex towards the end. This series, thanks to the combination of both the fact that it aroused great interest among students of the period and the fact that it was compatible with the changing curriculum in 1968, the year it was created, spread to all over Turkey under the difficult conditions of the period as a result of the efforts of the Kaygusuz family together with state means, and gained a solid place among students. Although it may have faded into the background with the 2005 curriculum change, Nevin Apaydın and Nesrin Kalaycıoğlu founded the Cin Ali Foundation in 2016 and the Cin Ali Museum in 2019, both located in the same building, to preserve their father’s legacy. Today, the activities of the foundation and the museum continue to attract the attention of children and individuals with hearing and visual impairments, perpetuating the legacy of Cin Ali.
