Açılışından kapanışına Tokat Turhal Sahne On Oyuncuları Tiyatro Derneği

Abstract

Türkiye’de tiyatronun Anadolu’daki yayılımı, büyük şehirlere kıyasla daha yavaş ve farklı dinamiklerle şekillenmiştir. Bu araştırma, Tokat’ın Turhal ilçesinde kurulmuş olan Sahne On Tiyatro Derneğini inceleyerek, derneğin açılışından kapanışına gerçekleştirdiği faaliyetlerini, yerel halkın tiyatroya olan ilgisini ve tepkilerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. 1964 yılında kurulan dernek, Turhal’da sanat bilincini artırmayı hedeflemiş ve çeşitli oyunlarla bölge halkına ek olarak çevre il ve ilçelere de giderek özellikle gençlerin tiyatroya ilgisini canlandırmaya çalışmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında öncelikli olarak dernek kurucu üyelerinden Mehmet Yaşar Uğurlu’nun özel arşivi, Turhal üzerine yazmış olduğu kitabı ve gerçekleştirilen röportajdan elde edilen bilgiler değerlendirilmiştir. Sahne On Tiyatro Derneğinin kuruluş süreci, hedefleri, oyun seçkisi ve yerel halk üzerindeki etkisi, Turhal’ın kültürel yapısı bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Türkiye’de tiyatro sanatının gelişimi ve küçük yerleşimlerdeki kültürel etkileri, bu araştırmada Tokat Turhal özelinde incelenmiştir. Derneğin faaliyetleri, Türkiye tarihinde tiyatronun gelişmesi ve yaygınlaşmasına katkıda bulunan küçük şehirler ve dernekler kapsamında bilgilere ulaşılması açısından önemli bir örnek teşkil etmektedir. The spread of theater in Anatolia has developed more slowly and with different dynamics compared to major cities in Turkey. This study examines the Sahne On Theater Association, established in the Turhal district of Tokat, focusing on its activities from its founding stages to closing down, as well as the local community’s interest in and reactions to it. Founded in 1964, the association aimed to increase artistic awareness in Turhal and surrounding areas. By performing various plays and touring nearby cities and districts, the association sought to spark interest in theater, particularly among young people. The research draws primarily on information from the personal archive of one of the founding members of the association; Mehmet Yaşar Uğurlu. The book he wrote on Turhal, and insights gathered from an interview conducted with him. The establishment process, aims, selection of plays, and impact of the Sahne On Theater Association on the local community have been analyzed within the cultural framework of Turhal. The study explores the development of theater art in Turkey and its cultural effects in smaller districts, using the case of Turhal as a focal point. The activities of the association provide a significant example for understanding the role of small towns and local organizations in the historical growth and dissemination of theater in Turkey.
