Türk siyasi hayatında kadın hareketleri: Refah Partisi örneği

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Refah Partisi Hanımlar Komisyonu’nun kuruluşunu, faaliyetlerini ve 1995 Genel Seçimlerine etkisini konu almaktadır. Konuya temel oluşturması ve bir kıyaslama yapılabilmesi için Türk siyaseti ile Refah Partisinin öncül partilerinde kadının yeri araştırılmıştır. Ardından dönemin siyasetçilerinden Lütfü Esengün ile yapılan sözlü görüşme ve konu hakkındaki diğer akademik çalışmalar incelenerek Hanımlar Komisyonu’nun kuruluşu, faaliyetleri ve aldığı tepkiler hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Son olarak seçim sonuçları ve edinilen bilgiler incelenerek Hanımlar Komisyonu’nun seçim sonuçlarına etkisi soruşturulmuştur.

This study encapsulates the organization and activities of Welfare Party’s Women’s Commission and its effect on 1995 elections. In order to provide a basis for the aforementioned research topic and to enable a comparison with different political periods, woman’s position in contemporary Turkish politics and in the predecessors of Welfare Party is examined. After making a literature review, information regarding the organization and the activities of Women’s Commission is provided, and the reactions to Women’s Commission are revealed. For the same purpose, an interview with one of the politicians of the political period, Lütfü Esengün is carried. Last, in the light of information gathered and the elections’ results, the effect of Women’s Commission on political success of Welfare Party is scrutinized.
