Sular altında bir minare: Derbent barajı projesi ve bölge halkına etkileri

1960’larda Kızılırmak nehrinin taşması sebebiyle Bafra’nın dört ilçesini su basmış ve bu taşkın bölgede mal kayıplarına sebebiyet vermişti. Uzun yıllar süren bu taşkınlar, 1984 yılında Derbent Barajı’nın yapılmasıyla durdurulmaya çalışıldı. Derbent Barajı’nın yapımı 1990 yılında tamamlandı. Bu barajın aynı zamanda bölgedeki sulama ve enerji sorunlarına da çözüm getireceği de varsayılıyordu. Bu makalede barajın çevredeki su taşkınlarına, sulama ve enerji sorunlarına, bölgenin sosyolojik yapısına etkileri incelenecektir. Ayrıca, barajın neden Tosköy bölgesine yapıldığı, barajın maliyetinin kim tarafından karşılandığı ve bu barajın çevreye ve bölgeye olan etkisi incelenecektir. Son olarak, barajın yapımı sonucunda sular altında kalan Tosköy’ün hikayesi ve köy halkının barajın yapımı hakkındaki düşünceleri incelenecektir.

In 1966, due to the overflow of Kızılırmak, 4 districts of Bafra were flooded and this caused property losses in the region. These floods, which lasted for many years, were tried to be ended with the construction of the Derbent dam in 1984. Ultimately, the Derbent dam was completed in 1990. The purpose of the dam is not only to prevent the aforementioned floods, but also to solve the irrigation and energy problems for agriculture in the region. Therefore, in this study, it will be examined whether the dam brings a solution to the floods, irrigation and energy problems in the mentioned region. In addition, why the dam was built in the Tosköy region, who covered the cost of the dam and the impact of this dam on the environment will be examined.
