dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu ödevin gayesi okulun kuruluş dönemini, yıllar içerisinde geçirdiği değişim sürecini, eğitim biçimini, gelenek ve göreneklerini, mimari ve tarihsel açıdan önem taşıyan binalarını, özgün ruhunu anlatmak ve okulun geçmişten günümüze ulaşma sürecini analiz etmektir. Okulun eğitim anlayışı, karma eğitime geçiş süreci, rotasyon sürecinde öğretmenlerinin okuldan gönderilmesi, mezunlar arasındaki sıkı bağ ve yardımlaşma, BALEV ve okulun yatılı kısmı da projemizin konuları arasındadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this project is to look into the school’s establishment period, change it has been through the years, education system, customs and traditions, buildings that are both historically and architecturally important, unique spirit and to analysis the process of the school, from past to now. The way the education is interpreted by the school, the process of starting mixed education, teachers being send from the school during the rotation period, the strong connection and solidarity between the alumni, BALEV and the school’s boarding part are also the other topics of our project.en_US
