| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | en_US |

Harp Okulundan mezun olduğu 1987 yılından şırnak’ta şehit düştüğü 31 Mayıs 2017 tarihine kadar Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri bünyesinde yurtiçi ve yurtdışı birçok önemli görevlerde bulunmuştur. PKK terörü ile mücadelede uzun yıllardan beri en ön saflarda yer almış ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’ne eşsiz başarılar kazandırmış bu değerli devlet adamının hayatı ve terörle mücadeleye olan önemli katkıları bu çalışmada incelenmiştir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Major General Aydoğan Aydın was born on June 5, 1966 in Tokat province. From his graduation from Military Academy in 1987 to his martyrdom on May 31, 2017 he had many important duties both at home and abroad in the Turkish Armed Forces. Aydoğan Aydın took place at the forefront in the fight against PKK terrorism for many years and has brought unprecedented successes to the Republic of Turkey. The life and the significant contributions of this valuable statesman to fighting against terror are examined in this study. | en_US |
