| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | |

Dernek, matematik eğitiminin kalitesini arttırmaya yönelik faaliyetler düzenleyerek gençlerin bu alanda yetişmesine katkıda bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, Matematik Dünyası dergisi gibi yayımlarıyla matematiği geniş bir kitleye aktararak matematiğin ülke genelinde sevdirmeyi amaçlamıştır. TMD, ulusal sempozyumları, bilimsel ortaklıkları ve burs programları ile de matematik alanındaki konumunu güçlendirmiştir. Ek olarak, uluslararası kuruluşlara da katılarak adını global ölçekte tanıtmıştır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Türk Matematik Derneği (TMD) was founded to support the development of mathematics in Turkey and to introduce it to a wider audience. The association organizes activities for healthy mathematics education and helps young people grow in this area. In addition, it aims to popularize mathematics nationwide by conveying it to a wider audience with publications such as the Mathematik Dünyası magazine. TMD has strengthened the structure of mathematics departments with its national symposiums, bilateral partnerships and scholarship programs. In addition, it has been introduced globally by participating in international organizations. | |
