dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractİstanbul Film Festivali, Sinema Günleri olarak 1983’te Eczacıbaşı ailesinin de yardımlarıyla kuruldu. Kuruluşunda, mevcut başarıların yakalanacağı düşünülmemekteydi. Fakat sinema sektörüne bir fayda sağlama amacında olan bu kuruluş, Türkiye’de sinema sektörüne küçümsenmeyecek bir fayda sağladı. Yıllar içinde değişen ve gelişen etkinlikleriyle, Türkiye’de sinemayı canlandırdı ve çağı yakalamasında doğrudan ya da dolaylı yardımcı oldu.en_US
dc.description.abstractIstanbul Film Festival, started as Sinema Günleri in 1983 with the help of Eczacıbaşı Family. From the beginning of its foundation, it was not estimated to achieve this amount of success. But again, IFF intended to improve cinema sector no matter what. And it has provided an undeniable benefit to cinema industry in Turkey. With its changing and developing activities over the years, it has revitalized cinema in Turkey and directly or indirectly helped it catch up with the era.en_US
