İstanbul Erkek Lisesi

Abstract

İstanbul Erkek Lisesi, kuruluşundan itibaren Osmanlı Devleti'nin ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin lise tarihindeki en değerli okullarından biri olmuştur. Almanya ile özel bir eğitim anlaşması olan okul, öğrencilerine Alman dili ile eğitim vermekte olup aynızamanda Alman eğitim ekolünü benimsemiştir. Kuruluşundan günümüzde kadar olan akademik başarısına ek olarak spor, sanat ve izcilik dallarında da ilkler gerçekleştiren okul aynı zamanda Türkiye'nin pek çok açıdan gelişimine katkıda bulunan aydın insanlarını yetiştirmiştir. Bu araştırmada İstanbul Erkek Lisesi Eğitim Vakfı Yayınları'nın Billur bir avizedir İstanbul Lisesi'nde Zaman... belgeleriyle 125 yıl(1884-2009) kitabı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmamız için anahtar kaynak niteliğinde olan bu kitap İEL'in kuruluşundan itibaren tarihini içermenin yanı sıra araştırmamızda inceleyeceğimiz İstanbul Erkek Lisesi'nin tarihindeki önemli olaylar hakkında bilgi vermektedir. Kitap aynı zamanda İstanbul Erkek Lisesi'nin Almanya ile olan işbirliği ve okulun değerli mezunlarından da bahsetmektedir. İstanbul Erkek Lisesi'nden 1975'te mezun olmuş ve 2014'ten beri İstanbul Erkek Lisesi Eğitim Vakfı'nda akademik kurul başkanlığı yapan Prof. Dr. Erhan Erkut ile okulun Çanakkale Savaşıyla olan ilişkisi, öğrenci profili ve okulun mezunları tarafından kurulan eğitim vakfı hakkında bir röportaj yapılmıştır. Bu kaynaklarınyanısıraİstanbul ErkekLisesi hakkında bilgi veren anı yazıları, istatistikler, gazete haberleri ve internet sitelerinden makaleler kullanılmıştır.

Istanbul Male's High School has been one of the most precious schools in the history of the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey since the school was founded.The school has a special agreement with the government of Germany which allows the school to give German language education. In addition to the academic accomplishments, the school is a pioneer in sports, arts, and scouting in the education al history of Turkey. In addition to these,the school gave graduates which contributed to Turkey's development in many areas. In this research, the book Billur bir avizedir İstanbul Lisesi'nde Zaman...belgeleriyle 125 yıl(1884-2009) has been used. This book gives information about the history of Istanbul Male's High school and also the important events that happened in the school'shistory.The book also gives information about İEL's connection with Germany and the important graduates' of the school. In addition to the book, an interview with Prof. Dr. Erhan Erkut, a 1975 graduate of IEL and president of the academic board of the educational foundation of IEL, has been made. In the interview, the questions which are asked toErkut were about the connection between IEL and Çanakkale War, the profile of the students and the educational foundation. The research also contains articles from newspapers, memoirs of graduates, statistics and internet sources.
