Türkiye’de Çocuk Esirgeme Kurumunun tarihçesi (1960-1980)

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’de Çocuk Esirgeme Kurumu’nun 1960-1980 yılları arasındaki tarihsel gelişimini, kurumun işleyişini ve dönemsel dönüşümlerini ana odak alarak çocuk esirgemenin Türk aile yapısı üzerindeki rolünü incelemektir. Makalede ışık tutmak istediğimiz nokta, çocuk esirgeme ile hayata atılan çocukların kurum içerisinde ve toplumda neler yaşanmış olabileceğini anlamaktır. Sözlü tarih araştırmacılığı metodunun esas alındığı bu çalışmada kaynağımız olan Turgay Çavuşoğlu, 1974 yılında Sosyal Hizmetler Akademisi ile mesleğe adım atmış ve 2006 yılında emekli olana kadar sosyal hizmetlerin çeşitli dallarında görev almıştır.

This study examines the historical development of the Turkish Child Protection Institution between 1960 and 1980, focusing on the institution’s operations, its transformation over the years, and its role in shaping the dynamics of the Turkish family structure. This article seeks to shed light on the experiences of children who were raised under the care of this institution and their subsequent integration into Turkish society. By carrying out the oral history method, this research draws on the insights of Turgay Çavuşoğlu, who began his career in 1974 at the Social Services Academy and thus served in various branches of social services until his retirement in 2006.
