Since the founding years of the Republic of Turkey, the new government wanted to make a breakthrough in the field of industry, and it has taken initiatives to set up factories in different parts of Anatolia. Therefore, the goal was to ensure the development of Anatolia in the fields of economic, social and education, and to reduce the foreign dependency of the newly established state. Sinop is one of the provinces where these breakthroughs took place. The match and timber factories in Sinop and Ayancık are planned to be established considering the vegetation and transportation of the region.en_US
