The objective of this note is to introduce a decentralized control approach to multirate linear systems. Each control channel is assigned a single sampling rate, which provides simplicity in design of local controllers. This control strategy is natural for plants with widely different characteristic frequencies, and suitable for implementation using multiprocessor schemes. © 1990 IEEEen_US
