dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST209) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractWilliam S. Dodd, Evanjelist fikirleri Talaslı Hıristiyanlar arasında yaymaya karar veren ABCFM misyonerlerden biriydi. Onun kurduğu hastane 80 yıl faaliyet gösterdi. Mali durum, tıbbi operasyonlar ve Dodd’ın Evanjelizmi yayma girişimi, meslektaşı Alden R. Hoover’ın ve kendisinin yıllık raporlarından çıkarılabilir. Dodd’ın faaliyetlerinin ve onun Talas toplumuna katkısının yakından incelenmesi için yazılmış çok sayıda makale vardır. Bu yazı hastanenin Talas toplumu üzerindeki etkisini analiz edecek.en_US
dc.description.abstractWilliam S. Dodd was one of the ABCFM missionaries who decided to spread Evangelist ideas among Christian people of Talas, Cesarea. His hospital was active for 80 years and the financial situation, medical operations. Dodd’s initiative for spreading Evangelism can be deduced from his and his colleague dr. Alden R. Hoover’s annual reports. There are multiple articles dedicated to close examination of Dodd’s activities and his contribution to Talas’ society. This paper is going to analyze the hospital’s influence on Talas’ society.en_US
