| dc.description | The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards. | en_US |

| dc.description.abstract | 1987 yılında İzmir’de Cüneyt Baykal’ın abisi olan Necdet Baykal bir oluklu mukavva şirketi kurdu. Cüneyt Baykal o yıllarda Diyarbakır’da üniversite okuyordu. Üniversite eğitiminin tamamlanmasıyla İzmir’e göç eden Cüneyt Baykal kısa süre sonra şirketin ortaklarından biri oldu. Necdet Baykal'ın ambalaj sektörüne hâkim olması işlerini çok kolaylaştırdı. İşlerinin yolunda gitmemesi sebebiyle yollarını ayırdılar. 2000 yılının ardından Cüneyt Baykal kendi şirketi olan Çağpak Ambalaj San. Tic. Ltd. Şti şirketini kurdu ve abisiyle olan eski şirketlerinden bile daha fazla üretim potansiyeline sahip olan bir firma haline geldi. Günümüzde de İzmir’in önde gelen oluklu mukavva şirketlerinden birisi oldu. Azmi ve istikrarlı çalışması üzerine şirket hızlı bir şekilde büyüttü. Bu makalede Cüneyt Baykal’ın Abide köyünden geçen çocukluk yılları, lise ve Dicle Üniversitesi’ndeki öğrenim hayatı, İzmir’e göç etmesi, abisi ile şirket ortağı olması, bir şirketin batışına şahit olması, ardından tek başına şirket kurup o şirketi nasıl ayakta tuttuğu incelenecektir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Necdet Baykal who is Cüneyt Baykal’s older brother has launched a company which is based on corrugated cardboard in İzmir in 1987. In 1987, Cüneyt Baykal was student at Dicle University. After he graduated from Dicle University, he moved to İzmir in order to be associator of his older brother Necdet Baykal. Because of the experience Necdet Baykal has gained from this sector they could work together in successful way. Due to some environmental and economical issues they faced, the company was about to go bankrupt. In 2000s, Cüneyt Baykal has launched a company which is called Çağpak Ambalaj San. Ltd.Şti and this company became prominent company in this sector. Çağpak Ambalaj Ltd.Şti has grown rapidly thanks to Cüneyt Baykal’s effort and determination.
