dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractAraştırmanın konusu Türk Eğitim Sisteminde Maften Eğitim Kurumlarıdır. Bu araştırmayla, şu anki ismiyle Matfen Eğitim Kurumları’nın (Önceki adı Matfen Dershaneleri idi.) Türk Eğitim Sistemi’nin dinamizmine karşı nasıl statik bir yapıya sahip olduğu irdelenecektir. Araştırma, kurumun tarihinde önemli değişikliklerin olduğu dört tarih (1982, 1993, 2004 ve 2019) üzerinden bölümlere ayrılmıştır.
dc.description.abstractThe topic of this research is the educational institution named as “ Matfen Eğitim Kurumları” at the Turkish Educational System. (Its former name was Matfen Dershaneleri.) It tries to scrutinize how Matfen preserves its static form against the dynamism of the education system in Turkey. The research is classified into four sections (1982, 1993, 2004, 2019) in which prominent changes did take place at the history of this establishment.
