dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, Ünver ailesinin yaşamına ve tuz üretim şirketlerinin kuruluş ve gelişim aşamalarına yer verilecektir. 9 Kasım 1948 tarihinde Ankara’nın Şereflikoçhisar ilçesinin Hamzalı Köyü’nde doğan Süleyman Ünver'in üç çocuğu Özmeriç Ünver, Hasan Ünver ve Mehmet Ünver Ankara'da büyümüş, temel eğitimlerinin ardından 1985 ile 1997 yılları arasında kamyon şoförü olarak nakliyecilik yapmışlardır. İşlerin büyümesiyle daha sonra Ünver Nakliye Şirketi kurulmuştur. Daha çok tuz taşımacılığında çalışan kardeşler, tuz sektöründe yeterli bilgi birikimine ulaştıklarından 2005 yılında ilk fabrikalarını kurarak tuz üretimine başlamışlardır ve üretimlerini Ünver Sofram Tuz adıyla sürdürmektelerdir.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the life of the Ünver family and the establishment and development stages of the family companies, which are a salt production company, will be discussed. Born on November 9, 1948, in Hamzalı village of Şereflikoçhisar district of Ankara, Süleyman Ünver's three children Özmeriç Ünver, Hasan Ünver and Mehmet Ünver grew up in Ankara. After their basic education, they worked as truck drivers between 1985 and 1997. As the business grew, the Unver Transportation Company was established. The brothers, who mostly work in salt transportation, started to produce salt by establishing their first factory in 2005, as they gained sufficient knowledge in the salt sector, and they continue their production under the name of Ünver Sofram Tuz.en_US
