dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, Tikveşli ailesinin Yugoslavya’nın Tikveşli bölgesinden Muğla’ya gerçekleştirdiği göç incelenmektedir. Tikveşli ailesinin göçtüğü zamandaki Yugoslavya-Türkiye ilişkileri araştırılacak, ailenin göç sebepleri ve göç ettikten sonraki yaşantıları üzerinde durulacaktır. Rahim Tikveşli ile görüşülerek sözlü tarih kapsamında Tikveşli ailesinin Yugoslavya’dan Türkiye’ye göç etme sebepleri, göç sürecinde yaşanan zorlukları ve göç ettikten sonra Muğla’daki adaptasyon sürecini araştırmak hedeflenmektedir.
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the migration of the Tikveşli family from the Tikveşli region of Yugoslavia to Muğla is examined. The relations between Yugoslavia and Turkey during the migration of the Tikveşli family will be investigated, the reasons for the family's migration and their life after emigration will be focused on. By interviewing Rahim Tikveşli, it is aimed to investigate the reasons for the Tikveşli family's emigration from Yugoslavia to Turkey, the difficulties experienced in the migration process and their life in Muğla after emigration within the scope of oral history.
