Abstract

Bazı üyeleri, Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nın ardından Suriye’de önemli görevler üstlenmiş olan el-Attasi Ailesi’nin bir kolu İstanbul’a göçmüştür. Muharrem [Atasu] daha sonra İstanbul’a göçen bu ailenin çocuğu olarak 1311’de (miladi 1893-1894) Sayda’da dünyaya geldi. 1328’de İstanbul Askeri Tıbbiyesi’ne girmiş, ama okulu bitiremeden önce Balkan Savaşı’na ardından da Birinci Dünya Savaşı’na katılmıştır. 1915’te Ruslara esir düşerek Kazan’a gönderilmiş ve serbest bırakıldıktan sonra Kazan’da doktorluk yapmış ve orada evlenmiştir. 1920’lerde ailesi ile birlikte Türkiye’ye dönerek 1964’te ölümüne kadar doktor olarak çalışmıştır. Muharrem Atasu’nun hayatta olan son çocuğu Faruk Atasu, eşi Gülsen Atasu ile birlikte Ankara’da yaşamaktadır.


Muharrem Atasu was born in 1331 (1893 or 1894) in Sayda district. He entered the Istanbul Military Medical School in 1910 or 1911 (1328) and started his medical education . Before finishing his education life, he joined in the Balkan War and later in the First World War. As a result of the defeat in the Caucasus Front, where he took part in the First World War, he was captured by the Russians and sent to a prison camp in Kazan in 1915. During his time here, he gets the opportunity to perform his profession by taking advantage of his medical duty. Also he got married with Maria here. In early 1920’s he returned to Turkey with his family. During his time in Turkey, he lived in different cities which are Istanbul, Ardahan, Uşak, Mersin and Kayseri. He has five children named as Kayhan, Lale, Raziye, Metin, Faruk. In 1964, Muharrem Atasu died and his family moved to Ankara in 1965. The last childen Faruk Atasu and his wife Gülsen Atasu are alive and continue their lives in Ankara.
