Gümülcine’den Bursa’ya bir girişimcilik hikayesi: Sebahattin Şekerci

Bu makalede, 1957 yılında ailesiyle birlikte Yunanistan’ın Gümülcine ilçesinden Türkiye’ye göç eden, Sebahattin Şekerci’nin hayatı ve girişimcilik hikayesi konu alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında Batı Trakya Türklerini göçe iten faktörler, Sebahattin Şekerci’nin göç süreci ve göçmen olarak Türkiye’deki hayatı incelenmiştir. Bununla birlikte 1970-1980 döneminde Türkiye’nin sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik yapısı çerçevesinde Sebahattin Şekerci’nin göçmen girişimci olarak iş hayatına atılması ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca bu çalışmada, Has Asansör şirketinin kurucusu olan Sebahattin Şekerci’nin göç sürecinde yaşadığı zorluklara, göçmenliğin girişimcilik üzerindeki etkisine ışık tutulmuştur.

In this article, the life and entrepreneurship story of Sebahattin Şekerci, who immigrated to Turkey from Komotini, Greece with his family in 1957, is covered. Within the scope of the research, the factors causing Western Thrace Turks to migrate, Sebahattin Şekerci's migration process and his life in Turkey as an immigrant are studied. In addition, within the framework of Turkey's socio-cultural and economic structure in the 1970-1980 period, Sebahattin Şekerci's entry into business life as an immigrant entrepreneur is discussed. In addition, this study sheds light on the difficulties experienced by Sebahattin Şekerci, the founder of Has Asansör, during the migration process and the impact of migration on entrepreneurship.
