Baykuş koleksiyoneri ve antikacı: Ahmet Çomak

Koleksiyonculuk bir hobi olarak, koleksiyon yapan kimse için önemli, diğer insanlar için görece değersiz gözüken objelere kendinden bir şeyler katarak onları toplamaktır. Ahmet Çomak koleksiyonculuk eyleminin duygusal ve maddi boyutunu gösterebilen ülkemizdeki sayılı örnekten biridir. Ahmet Çomak hayatı boyunca üç binden fazla baykuş objesi toplamıştır. Baykuş figürünün Türkiye’deki tarihi ve anlamları konusunda ilgilidir. Kendisinin aynı zamanda Ankara Kalesi lokasyonunda bir dükkânı vardır. Burada topladığı baykuş figürleri ve diğer antika objelerden oluşan repertuarını satışa sunmaktadır. Bu dükkân sayesinde kendisi üzerinde yapılacak bir çalışma aynı zamanda koleksiyonculuğun esnaflıkla etkileşimini genel ve Ankara özelinde incelemek için değerli olacaktır.

Collecting as a hobby is collecting objects that have an importance for you but can be seen as worthless from other people’s perspectives and adding something from yourself to the collection while doing so. Ahmet Çomak is one of the few people that can show us both the emotional and the material aspects of being a collector. Ahmet Çomak has collected over 3000 owl figures throughout his life. He is interested in the history of the owl figure in Turkey and the meanings behind the figure. He also has a store in Ankara Castle where he sells a repertoire of objects that contain his owl figures as well as other antique objects. Due to the existence of this store the study that is being conducted on him will also be valuable in terms of understanding the interaction between collecting and being a store owner in general and specifically in Ankara.
