dc.description.abstractÇankaya Mansion, generally, is an important structure for the Republic of Turkey’s history. Before the new mansion’s opening in 2014, it was used as the presidential house since the Atatürk period and housed many important political figures, making the building a symbol of the republic’s history. Considering that many events, meetings, dinners and discussions took place under the roof of Çankaya Mansion, the Atatürk period in particular, the building has an exclusive place in the republic’s history as it participated in helping resolve both the international and national interests of the country. In this research, the mansion will be inspected in historical, architectural and emotional aspects; and then an aide’s, who has worked right next to Atatürk for many years, memoirs will be transcribed with the hopes of bringing a closer look to the period.en_US
