In this project, the history of Samsunspor Football Club and their influences on Turkish football were studied, covering the glorious stage of the club until the road traffic accident on 20 January 1989. It has always been evident that football clubs of Istanbul dominated Turkish football. Samsunspor had the opportunity to overthrow this dynasty after Trabzonspor, however due to unforseen circumstances and most specifically due to the road traffic accident on 20 January 1989, it became impossible for them to succeed in this journey. Nevertheless, Samsunspor achieved to hit the headlines of history of Turkish football.
