3 Temmuz 1997 Kırıkkale MKE Mühimmat fabrikası patlaması

Bu araştırmada, Türkiye savunma sanayisinin temel taşlarından biri olan Makine Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE) Kırıkkale Mühimmat Fabrikasında 3 Temmuz 1997 tarihinde gerçekleşen ve artçı patlamalar dahilinde 4 kişinin ölümüyle sonuçlanan patlama, patlamanın yarattığı maddi ve manevi tahribat ve patlama sonrası iyileşme dönemi incelenecektir. ġehir halkının tahliye edilmesi, 40 binin üzerinde konutun zarar görmesi çevre halkının hayatına nasıl devam ettiği ve bu dönem sırasında yayınlanan gazete haberleri, meclis tutanakları ve olaylara birinci elden tanıklık etmiş kişilerin hikayeleriyle birlikte bu dönemin sonrasında yapılmış araştırmaları da temel alınarak incelenecektir. Son olarak, Türkiye'nin endüstriyel kaza ile mücadele konusundaki yeterliliği incelenecektir.

This research is based on a factory explosion Kırıkkale Mechanical and Chemical Industry(MKE), which is one of the cornerstones of Turkey's defence industry. The explosion in the Kırıkkale Ammunition Factory, which occurred on 3 July 1997 and resulted in the deaths of 4 people within the aftershocks, will be examined within the physical and moral damage caused by the explosion and the recovery period after the explosion. The evacuation of the city, the damage of more than 40 thousand houses and those households status in those days will be clarified. Official documents, later conducted researches and newspapers published during this period will be examined. They will be supported by the impressions of the people who have witnessed the explosion firsthand. Finally, regarding the proficiency of industrial accidents in Turkey will be discussed.
